Hey, guys my name is Kayla. Sorry I am a little late to the group. I am currently majoring in Biology, but my main career goal is to become a veterinarian. I really love and enjoy animals a lot. I have had a lot of animals throughout my life. Honestly through this pandemic my three dogs were the only ones keeping me sane during this crazy time in life. Anyways that is me now on to chemistry. This is actually my second semester taking General Chemistry II because I failed it the semester before the last semester. This is going to be sort of like a memory blog thinking back to the beginning of the semester thinking about how a felt, mainly because I procrastinated and started my journals today. At the start of the semester I was unsure how to feel since everything was online. I did not like not going to class because it had messed up my routine. I also did not enjoy taking six online classes that was definitely a mistake and I learned from it. I also learn better through an actual class and lecture. Taking Chemistry II again scared me because I really struggled the last time I had taken it and then finding out that I have to take it online was even worse because you basically have to learn it on your own and manage your time wisely. The beginning of the semester I felt was not to bad at all but that is pretty normal it changes once the class progresses. The one thing that I was most worried about was organic chemistry because I really struggled with it the very first time and I definitely struggled with it this time to, I can never really get the hang of organic chemistry I honestly think I need to maybe find a tutor to better understand it. I don’t know you guys feel about but I still think It is a tough subject. Other than Organic Chemistry I understood most of the other topics. I was still worried as the class continued for the exam, I have never been a good test taker. Even sometimes when I know the topics and concepts sometimes my mind just goes blank. Anyway that is it for my first blog I don’t really have anything else to say, but it was nice to meet you guys, and I hope you guys did well at the beginning and did not struggle to much.
